Assign a State Value to a Document


After completing this topic, you will be able to assign a State value to a document.


Steps:

  1. Assign the Not Started state to the selected document.

     

    Click in the State field.

  3. Click the Not Started list item.

  4. You can assign a State value to a document that is checked in, or checked out to you or another author.

  5. Select the Printing a Document topic, Saving Documents section, and the Changing Word Wrap Options topic.

     

    Click the Printing a Document topic.

  6. Press the [Ctrl] key and click the Saving Documents section.

  7. Press the [Ctrl] key and click the Changing Word Wrap Options topic.

  8. Assign the In Review state to the selected documents.

     

    Click in the State field.

  11. Switch to the Library.

     

    Click the Library tab.

  12. Assign the same state to two documents in the Library.

     

    Click the

  13. Press the [Ctrl] key and click the PAGE_SETUP LINK web page.

  14. Assign the Final state to the selected documents.

     

    Click in the State field.

  19. Remove the state value from the selected document.
