Sharing Categories Through Email

You can use email to share a user-defined category with a Crystal Ball user who is not on the network.

  To share categories using email:

  1. Create and address an email message.

  2. Use the file attachment command and browse to the category folder on the machine.

    By default, this is C:\Documents and Settings\the username\Application Data\Oracle\Crystal Ball\11.0\Store.

  3. Select the user-defined category to send.

    Crystal Ball category files have this format: CBCategory_name.cbc. For example, the Favorites category The Browse For Folder dialog opens. as CBCategory_Favorites.cbc.

  4. Send the email.

  To use a category received in an email:

  1. Open the email.

  2. Save the attachment in the Crystal Balll category folder, by default C:\Documents and Settings\the username\Application Data\Oracle\Crystal Ball\11.0\Store.

The next time you start Crystal Ball, the new category is displayed in the Category pane of the Distribution Gallery.
