A runtime release is a slender version of an editable source master (ESM) dashboard. It does not contain build time or development structures, and cannot be connected to or modified by the Dashboard Studio wizard interface. A runtime release is usually deployed to users, as it contains identical features and properties as the ESM from which it was created. If no runtime is created, only the ESM release is saved.
