The Conditional Sub-Queries component works only on server Release 8.2 and earlier.
The component performs chained queries on a desktop computer. However, if millions of transactions are stored, a desktop computer requires an excessive amount of process time. In this case, the Interactive Reporting Studio document can be imported and scheduled to run on a server, preferably when it can run in an uninterrupted environment; for example, overnight.
To schedule an Interactive Reporting Studio document on the server:
On the server, import and schedule an Interactive Reporting Studio document.
From Query Connections and Processing, select only primary queries and ordinary queries, if available, for scheduling.
Do not schedule sub-queries as they are processed by the Conditional Sub-Queries component using the primary query results.
Run the query.
If a prompt is displayed asking for variable filters, select the values, and click OK.
Open the resulting Interactive Reporting Studio document in EPM Workspace or Interactive Reporting Web Client.
If the scheduling process was run in conjunction with a sub-query that uses a custom user event, the sub-query results in Process Event Example display store details that were specified by the custom user event. See Activating Sub-Queries with the Conditional Sub-Queries Component in a Runtime Release.
