Configuring the Group Tabs Component

To configure the Group Tabs component:

  1. Merge the component. See Merging Components.

  2. Configure group navigation tabs using the Group Tab Properties.

*  To use the Group Tab configuration frame:

  1. In Interactive Reporting Studio, open a dashboard that contains the Group Tabs component.

  2. Navigate to Group Tab Properties.

    To access the configuration frame, use Sections or the Configuration drop-down list found in Dashboard Studio.

  3. In Group Tab Name, enter a name for the group or first row of navigation tabs.

  4. To add the group name into Group Tabs, click Copy button (Add).

    The name is appended at the end of the Group Tabs list.

  5. Optional: To rename the selected group, click Rename button.

  6. Optional: To delete the selected group, click Delete Trash button.

  7. Optional: Reorder Group Tabs by selecting a group and clicking Move Up button or Move Down button.

  8. Control the types of Available Sections by selecting or clearing the section check boxes.

    The selected sections are displayed in Available Sections.

  9. Move selected sections between Available Sections and Selected Sections by clicking Next button and Back button.

  10. Optional: Reorder Selected Sections by selecting a section and clicking Move Up button or Move Down button.

  11. Perform an action:

    • To discard group tabs and reload the original settings, click Restore

    • To remove all group tabs, click Clear All

    • To remove selected group tabs, click Clear

    • To load the selected group tabs, click Apply

    A group must include at least one dashboard that is configured for group navigation. For example, a group with only queries selected will display an error message. Please specify at least one member for the following: Group Name, where member is a dashboard configured with at least one tab, and Group Name is the name entered in Group Tabs.

  12. To test the grouped navigation structure, click Home button.
