Configuring Ignore Percentile Computed Items

*  To configure the Ignore Percentile component:

  1. Use the Interactive Reporting document from the Configuring the Ignore Percentile Button procedure.

  2. Navigate to a results section that contains the data to be manipulated, right-click, and select Add Computed Item.

    Computed Item is displayed.

  3. In Name, enter QiqION, click Reference, select the column from which to discard values outside the percentiles of interest, and click OK.

  4. Click OK.

  5. In the results set, create these computed items, and in Definition, enter the specified values.

  6. Use the same results set, and insert a table.

  7. From the catalog pane, drag onto the Data Layout the Qiq Percentile computed item and other columns that are to be reported upon and that use the table, charts, or pivots.

  8. Double-click the Qiq Percentile column to make it a local filter.

  9. In Filter, click Show Values, Select All, and OK.

    To apply Ignore Percentile correctly, filters must be set by using the QIQ Filter Properties frame or by clicking Apply Wizard button in Step 6: Configure Filters of Dashboard Studio. See “Using the QIQ Filter Properties Frame” or “Step 6: Configure Filters” in the Hyperion Interactive Reporting – Object Model and Dashboard Development Services Developer's Guide, Volume 5: Dashboard Studio.

  10. Create the percentile sections from the table, inserted in step 6.

  11. Open Dashboard Studio, and move to the Frames step to add frames.

  12. Optional: Add Ignore Percentile button, if it is not available on the frame at this point. See Configuring the Ignore Percentile Button.

  13. In Interactive Reporting Studio, from the catalog pane, drag the report sections (table, charts, or pivots) onto the frames.

  14. In Dashboard Studio, move to the Associate step, and click Associate button to associate the frames.

  15. In Interactive Reporting Studio, test the component by clicking Ignore Percentile button.

  16. Save the dashboard.

It is not necessary to set the Qiq Percentile filter as an active filter for the dashboard.
