Using Map URL Attributes

The Map URL Attributes frame enables you to associate a local filter with each attribute member in a POV URL. The association determines whether a POV URL should be updated when a filter is set in the dashboard.

Before using Map URL Attributes, ensure that data values are shared by dashboard filters, and dimensions in Reporting Studio and Web Analysis Studio.

To automatically refresh a POV embedded browser when a filter is set, select Automatically refresh when Filters are set. Or provide a means to manually refresh items; for example, configure POV Refresh button on the frame. See Configuring the Refresh Button.

*  To associate filters with a URL attribute:

  1. In Interactive Reporting Studio, navigate to Map URL Attributes.

  2. From Available URLs, select a URL.

URL Attributes are displayed. Local filters are displayed in Available Filters.

  3. Select an item in URL Attributes.

URL Attribute Members are displayed. The number of attributes is dependent on the attributes present in the imported URL. See Table 25 for essential properties.

  4. Move selected filters between Available Filters and Associated Filters by clicking Next button and Back button.

  5. Optional: Reorder multiple members to specify a hierarchy of filter values, by selecting a filter and clicking Move Up button or Move Down button.

The hierarchy order must correspond to the order of the attribute members in the list. If the selected filter is set, each member value is replaced by the corresponding selected filter value (if the value exists in the application database).

  6. Configure other attribute members to be associated with filters.

  7. Click Apply.
