Configuring the Quick Query Limits Component

To configure the Quick Query Limits component:

  1. Merge the component. See Merging Components.

  2. Configure Query Limits button (Query Panel).

  3. Add the query sections and the limits required in those sections.

  4. Identify queries to process using HYSL Queries and Datamodels.

  5. Configure Quick Query Limit controls with the Query Panel prototype frame.

  6. Configure other controls.

  7. Configure query limit properties using Quick Query Limit Properties.

  8. Optional: Configure the required query limits using Required Query Limits Properties.

  9. Set Query Panel as the Startup frame.

This topic describes the process of configuring a dashboard using the Quick Query Limits component.

Before you can configure the Quick Query Limits component, add and configure Query Limits button. After the component is configured, the button enables you to activate the Query Panel from another frame.

Note:

Dashboards developed with the Quick Query Limits component Release 11.1.1 or later, contain lbxQueryLog and lbxQueries by default on the Query Panel. Dashboards developed with an earlier release of the Quick Query Limits component require an update using the Dashboard Development Services Update Utility to provide these two list boxes on the Query Panel prototype frame. For these lists to function on existing Query Panel frames, users must add one or both to the frames. Otherwise the lists can be deleted.
