Required Query Limits extends the Quick Query Limits component by enabling the dashboard developer to nominate one or more required query limits. If values from a required query limit are not selected, then the query will not run. When the required values are entered, then the query can be processed.
To use the Required Query Limits Properties frame:
From Sections, select Required Query Limits Properties.
Required Query Limits Properties is displayed.
Move selected limits between Optional Query Limits and Required Query Limits by clicking
and 
.Moving values to Required Query Limits creates mandatory limits that are required for processing the query. Therefore, when configured, Required Query Limits cannot be ignored.
Perform an action:
To reload the original settings, click Restore
To remove selected limits, click Clear
To load selected limits, click Apply
Return to the Query Panel and click
to process the query with the required query limits.
Note:
When processing a query on the Query Panel by clicking, an error message is displayed if no values are selected for a required query limit. You must select one or more values for that required query limit and then reprocess the query.
