Transformations are mathematical operations that can the user can have applied to data when a mining model is defined.
Transformations are available when you run the Data Mining Wizard in Advanced mode.
To apply transformations:
Using the Data Mining Wizard to define a build task, enter all data mining values as prompted.
Perform the following steps while entering algorithm member expressions for accessor domains in the Enter algorithm parameter and accessor information page.
Select the accessor node to which to apply the transformation.
Select the Apply transformation check box.
Select the transformation to be applied from the Name drop-down list box and click the > button to add the selected transformation to the Selected Transformations box.
If multiple transformations are to be applied, repeat this step for each transformation to be applied. Transformations are applied in the sequence they are listed in this box.
To remove a transformation from the Selected Transformations box, click the < button.
To resequence the transformations in the Selected Transformations list box, select a transformation to be moved and click the up or down arrow until the selected transformation is in the correct position.
Define parameters for each transformation:
Select the transformation in the Selected Transformations list box.
Information about the transformation is displayed in the Information text box.
Click the cell under Value in the Parameters list box, enter the desired value for the transformation parameter, and click Set.
A message box pops up indicating the parameter value was set successfully. Click OK.
After all parameters are defined for the transformation, define information for another algorithm parameter or accessor in the left pane, or click Next to move to the next wizard page.
