During data loads, by default, Essbase overwrites database values with data-source values.
In some cases (for example, when adding or subtracting values), you may want to clear selected database values before you load data-source values.
Note: | This functionality does not apply to aggregate storage databases. |
To clear data values before performing a data load:
Select the field to clear.
Select Options, then Data load settings.
In the Data Load Settings dialog box, select the Clear Data Combinations tab.
In Clear combinations, enter one or more member combinations (enclosing each name in quotation marks; for example, "New York"), or in the Dimension node, double-click one or more members.
OPTIONAL: If the Dimension node is empty, click Outline, and associate the rules file with an outline.
Click OK.
