Within data load and dimension build rules files, you can specify that, during data loads and dimension builds, some field names be replaced. For example, you can replace the data-source member name NY with New York.
To replace field names:
Open or create a rules file.
Select the field to change.
Select Field, then Properties.
In the Field Properties dialog box, select the Global Properties tab.
Enter the string to be replaced and the new string, and select the preferred options.
Click OK.
