ODBC Administrator is not available on UNIX systems. On AIX, HP-UX, Solaris, and Linux, you must manually set environment variables and edit the odbc.ini file. You can edit the odbc.ini file (using a text editor such as vi) to configure, add, or change data sources names, and to add or change drivers.
Integration Services does not support data source table names and column names that contain spaces or special characters, such as a period (.). See Integration Services Limits and Guidelines for a complete listing of the unsupported characters. |
Flat File Data Sources: If you are using a flat file data source, you must define the structure of the text files in your data source in a QETXT.INI file. The process for creating the QETXT.INI file for UNIX operating systems is described in the DataDirect Connect ODBC Reference in the PDF file in products/common/ODBC/Merant/6.0/books.
