To install Oracle Data Integrator:
Download the ODI 11g (11.1.1.5) and Repository Creation Utility (RCU) for 11.1.1.5.
Run the RCU and create the master and work repositories.
The Work Repository must be of type “Development”. Use a repository between 001 and 009.
You need to install ODI Studio and ODI Agent. ODI Studio is primarily used to define the topology, import a scenario, and perform any customization work. It can be installed on any Administrator Workstation or on the server.
ODI Agent must be installed on a server. Preferably the ODI Agent must be installed on the same server as ERP Integrator. This makes the file sharing and access to log files easier. However, it is not required to install ERP Integrator and ODI Agent on the same server. ODI 11g provides two versions of ODI Agent: a standalone version and a J2EE version. J2EE version runs in a Managed Server in WebLogic so it can be clustered and load balanced using WebLogic. Both versions are supported with ERP Integrator.
ERP Integrator leverages ODI to read and write files for import and export functionality. A common shared directory must be created that is accessible by the ODI Agent and ERP Integrator Web Application.
The common directory created in step 4 must be specified as the Application Root Directory in the ERP Integrator System Settings screen.
Navigate to Topology Manager, then select Logical Architecture, and then select Generic SQL.
On the Advanced tab, remove the Table Alias if any has been specified.
By the default this field has a value of AS.
