Creating Data Servers and Physical Schemas for Planning

  To create a data server and physical schema:

1. Launch Oracle Data Integrator Topology Manager.

2. Under the Topology tab, click Physical Architecture.

3. Expand Hyperion Planning.

4. Right-click and select Insert Data Server.

5. Enter the Planning server name and all necessary connection information. Enter the Planning RMI Server name and port in <server>:<port> format.

   Typically RMI runs on port 11333.

   The user can be added as an administrator or another user with privileges that can load data into all Planning target applications.

6. Click Save.

7. Ensure that you have created all data servers and physical schemas listed in Creating Data Servers and Physical Schemas. Then, create contexts. See Creating Contexts.
