Creating Data Servers and Physical Schemas for Source Systems

  To create a data server for each of the related logical schemas:

1. Launch Oracle Data Integrator Studio, then select the Physical Architecture tab.

2. Under the Topology tab, Physical Architecture.

3. Expand the appropriate technology.

   See Creating Logical Schemas.

4. Right-click and select Insert Data Server.

5. Enter a name and connection information on the Definition tab, then the JDBC driver and URL. Then, click Save.

6. Right click on the data server and new physical schema.

7. Select the value for the schema and work schema from the drop down list.

   Do not type in the value as the schema is case sensitive in some environments.

8. Click Save.

9. Ensure that you have created all data servers and physical schemas listed in Creating Data Servers and Physical Schemas. Then, create contexts. See Creating Contexts.
