Adding a Source Adapter

  To add a source adapter:

  1. In the Tasks pane, under Setup, select Source Adapter.

    The Source Adapter screen is displayed.

  2. From the Source Adapter Summary task bar, click Add.

    Blank entry rows are added to the Source Adapter Summary section.

    Complete the following steps in the Source Adapter Details section.

  3. In *Adapter Key, enter a user defined identifier for the adapter.

    For example for an EBS source adapter, you could enter EBS11I. The value in this field and cannot be modified after it has been created.

  4. In *Adapter Name, enter a user defined name for the adapter.

    For example, you could enter EBS1 1I Adapter.

  5. In *ODI Project Name, enter the name of the package or scenario.

  6. In *ODI Object Type drop-down, select either Package or Scenario.

    • Package—A Package is made up of a sequence of steps organized into an execution diagram. Packages are the main objects used to generate scenarios for production. When Package is selected as the ODI object type, then the source columns are shown, and a user can specify maps in the import format in which the scenario will be generated.

    • Scenario—ODI compiled code which must match exactly as specified in the ODI

  7. In ODI Object Project code, enter the template ODI project code.

  8. In * Source System Type drop-down, select the source application type.

  9. Click Save.
