Before you begin the tutorial, ensure that the worksheet options are set to the initial settings described in the following procedure.
To set Essbase display options:
In Essbase Options, select Display, and then select only these Display options:
Indentation—Totals
Cells—Use Styles
Replacement—#Missing Label: N/A
Aliases
Use Aliases
Aliases—Default
Query Designer—Use Sheet Options with Query Designer
Clear all other Display options.
Select Zoom, and then select only these options:
Zoom In—Next Level
Member Retention—Include Selection
Sampling Percentation—100
Clear all other Zoom options.
Select Mode, and then select only Advanced Interpretation.
Clear all other Mode options.
Select Global, and select only these options:
Mouse Actions—Select all Mouse Action options
Memory—Enable Feedback
Display Messages—Errors
Log File—Select both Log File options
Clear all other Global options.
The settings in the Essbase Options dialog box may change as you access the various sample spreadsheet files as part of the tutorial. Leave the settings as they are unless the tutorial advises you to change them. If your option settings differ, the illustrations presented in this chapter may not match the worksheet view.
