Organization by Period Reporting

The properties below the Available area are available when you use an Entity dimension of the Financial Management application only. By default, Org by Period is available in the Select Members dialog box and POV when the following criteria are met:

You select a Financial Management database connection for the grid.
The selected database connection is an Organization by Period application.
The Entity dimension is the current dimension.

You can report on Financial Management organization-by-period applications. The report can reflect the changes that occur in the organizational structure of a company such as disposals, mergers, acquisitions, and reorganizations.

Org by Period (also known as Dynamic Organizations) reflects changes to a business structure over time. The structure and ownership of dynamic organizations can vary by scenario, year, and period. Financial Reporting enables you to set a filter to view the organization-by-period organization of an Entity dimension for a scenario, year, and period.

You can filter the Available area to display active entities for scenario, year, and period, or all entities (active and inactive).

To select active entities:

Select the Display Only the Active Entities for check box.
From the three drop-down lists, Category / Scenario, Year, and Period, select the desired values.
Click Apply to verify the selection.
