Deleting a Location

You can delete locations from the database that you no longer use. When you delete a location, none of the repository objects is deleted from the repository; only the objects’ access privileges to the location are deleted.

Note:

You can only delete one location at a time.

*  To delete a location from the database:

  1. Launch the Administration Console by selecting Start > Programs > Hyperion > Administration Services > Start Administration Services Console.

  2. In the Analytic Administration Services Login dialog box, enter the Administration Services server name and your user name and password to log on to Administration Services Then click OK.

  3. In the left navigation frame of Administration Services, expand the Business Rules node. Then expand the Administration node.

  4. Expand the Locations node.

  5. Under the Locations node, right-click the location you want to delete, and select Delete Location.

    A message is displayed asking you to confirm deletion of the location and all of its access privileges.

  6. Click Yes to delete the location from the database.
