Invalid Value When Entering Date Value

Scenario:

When trying to enter a value into a data form cell, you get the error, “You have entered an invalid value. Please try again.” For example, you try to enter a formatted date value (for example, 12/8/2010) into a cell whose Data Type is Date and get this error.

Solution:

Depending on the type of data users want to enter in a cell, in Oracle Hyperion EPM Architect, Fusion Edition, set the dimension of the member with this data type as the first in the Data Type Evaluation Order.
