Creating ECM Documents

  To create ECM documents:

  1. Access Entity Change Manager and click Create—see Accessing Entity Change Management (ECM) Documents.

  2. In New ECM Doc Name, enter a name for the ECM document.

    The name must be unique among ECM documents in the server.

  3. Perform an action:

    • Select Default (empty) to create an empty ECM document.

    • Select Copy of ECM Doc to base the ECM document on another, and select the source ECM document—see Browsing ECM Documents.

      All of the attributes of the copied ECM Doc are used in the new ECM Doc, with the exception of logs, a previewed Target Entity list, last run date, and Owner.

  4. Click OK.

    Entity Change Manager creates and displays the new ECM document.
