You use the Select tab to map dimensions between entities, thus ensuring that data is imported or exported to the proper location. When you create a map, dimensions of the same name are mapped automatically.
You should verify that the correct dimensions are assigned between the two entities.
At least one account, time, and scenario dimension must be mapped before you can configure accounts, time periods, and scenarios.
You can assign a dimension as a common dimension act as a global variables between entities.
To map dimensions:

For each dimension in the Dimension column, select a dimension in the Assign to column.

Optional: To use Essbase alias tables, in Alias Table, select a table.
Optional: To change the order in which dimensions are processed, from the Accounts, Time, Scenarios, or Common lists, select a dimension and click the up or down arrows.
