After creating a batch, you must edit the batch properties to associate the server, application, and database for the import or export.
To set batch properties:
From Batch Manager, select a batch and click Check Out.

In Server Connection, enter the domain name or IP Address of the Planning server.
By naming the server of another EPM System product, you give the Strategic Finance server a way of locating the source or destination.
For products based on Essbase, in Application, enter the name of the application in which the database resides.
The specified application is a container located on the server, and within which databases are stored.
In Database, enter the name of the database.
The specified database is where the source data resides, or where the destination data is written.
In Default Map, enter the name of the map.
The specified map is used with the batch as a default. In each batch entry, you can override this parameter.
Optional: If the source entity contains an HSF Link to another entity, select Update HSF Links?.
An HSF Link is a data link between two Strategic Finance entities. For example, an account calculated in entity A may be linked to an account in entity B.
By default, during export, Strategic Finance does not recalculate linked values. However, if you set the batch properties to update Strategic Finance links upon export, Strategic Finance recalculates the linked accounts.
Optional: To be notified when the import or export has finished, select Email on Completion? and, in Email Address , enter the destination.
