Previewing, Refreshing, and Running Entity Change Management Documents

  To preview, refresh, and run ECM documents:

  1. Open an ECM doc.

    See Accessing Entity Change Management (ECM) Documents.

  2. Select Run.

  3. View ECM document run information:

    • Target Entities

      Displays an alphabetical list of the target entities processed by the current run.

    • Checked Out By

      Displays the user ID of the user who has an entity checked out.

    • Exclude

      Displays the entities excluded from the run. Entities selected here are added to the target entity list as Individual Entities with Exclude selected, and the target entities list updates for the ECM run. This column is disabled during an ECM Run.

    • Status

      Displays the status of the ECM run:

      • Completed

      • Processing

      • Failed

      The column is blank before the first ECM run, and updates every time the ECM document is opened or refreshed.

  4. Click any column header on Run to sort the view.

  5. Select Entity Change, then Preview ECM Targets to preview the run.

  6. Select Entity Change, then Run to execute the entity change.

  7. Select Entity Change, then Refresh to refresh the view during the run.

  8. Select Entity Change, then Stop ECM Run to cancel the process.
