Essbase Import and Export Maps

You can set up server-side imports and exports between the Strategic Finance server and an Essbase server.

Note:

Do not confuse the server-side import and export with the Strategic Finance client to Essbase server export functionality. See Exporting from Strategic Finance Clients to External Essbase Databases.

To set up server-side import or export with an Essbase server, follow the instructions for creating Planning import and export maps. However, to import and export data with Essbase databases that are not Planning databases, you must meet these conditions:

The country attribute is assigned to the entity dimension in the Essbase database, similar to how accounts and time attributes are assigned to their respective dimensions.
The Essbase database includes a scenario dimension.
The Essbase Server is configured to run with external authentication, for connecting with theStrategic Finance server.
