(Live) Pie Chart Properties

Use the (Live) Pie Chart Properties dialog box to define specific properties associated with a (Live) Pie Chart.

General PropertiesDescription
TypeSelect the (Live) Chart format. Available options include:

  • Pie—Displays pieces (slices) of the pie drawn to represent the relative value of a measurable item to the whole. Only one category (data series) can be plotted in a Pie Chart.

  • Donut—Drawn like a (Live) Pie Chart, the donut chart format does not include a center hole.

EffectSpecify the effect associated with the chart. A 2–D or 3–D effect refers to the perspective of the rendered chart. Available options are:

  • 2–D—The 2–D effect is flat.

  • 3–D—The 3–D effect shows rotation and depth.

Show LegendEnables the display of the chart legend.
Show LabelEnables the display of value labels.
ExplodePulls individual slices from the center.
