Border and Background Properties

Use the Border and Background tab in the Properties dialog box to customize the look of your reports by changing the color of a border or background.

Sets the default color, width, and style pattern for the border.

Sets a transparent color, width, and style for the border.

Custom

Lets you select your own color, width, and style pattern for the border.

Color

Sets the color of the border. To select a different color, click the color bar. A grid of colors appears where can select another color for the border.

Width

Sets the width (weight) of the border. To select a different width, click another point size from the pull-down list.

Style

Sets the style of the border, such as a solid, dotted or dashed line. To select a different style, click another style from the pull-down list

Shadow

Sets a drop-shadow to a line or shape so that objects appear as three-dimensional.

Preview

Displays the border or background as it will appear when you apply the settings.

Color

Alternate with

Allows you to stagger the background color of rows. Used in conjunction with the (Alternate) Color and Every_row fields.

(Alternate) Color

Sets the color of the staggered rows. To select a different color, click the color bar. A grid of colors appears where you can select another color for the border.

Every __ Rows

Indicates on which rows to apply the alternate color.
