Encoding Methods

You can setup Production Reporting to:

Read character streams into the system by "widening" them into 16-bit character strings.
Use Unicode internally to normalize data.

The default method is to read character streams into the system. To override the default and use Unicode internally, set the following in SQI.INI:

UseUnicodeInternal=TRUE

When UseUnicodeInternal=TRUE, any combination of encodings is valid in a single Production Reporting run, including ASCII and EBCDIC.
