Add Prompt

Use the Add Prompt dialog box to define the default values to use when you run a report in EPM Workspace.

Field	Description
Number	Prompt number. When you first access the Add Prompt dialog box, SQR Production Reporting Studio attempts to calculate the next available prompt number based on the existing prompts. You can override the prompt number if desired. Multiple prompts must be sequential. You cannot add prompts 1, 2, and 4 without adding prompt 3, for example. Note: To determine the number and the type of prompts a report in Oracle Enterprise Performance Management Workspace, Fusion Edition contains, open the Production Reporting Job Publisher on the Job Utilities toolbar, select the item in the Content pane of the main Production Reporting Job Publisher screen, and click Show Properties.
Type	Type of prompt. Input—Accepts data entered by users at a terminal. Ask—Compile-time prompt. Retrieval can be by user input, command-line arguments, or as entries in the @file on the command line Note: For more information about Input and Ask parameters, see Volume 2 in the Hyperion SQR Production Reporting Developer's Guide . View the report properties in the Production Reporting Job Publisher to determine which type of prompt is required.
Value	Adds column values to the prompt. (See Using Column Values as Part of URLs and Anchors for more information.)
