In addition to the toolbar options, you can use the menus at the top of the Layout window to aid you in laying out a report.
Use the File menu to open, close, save, preview, print, and e-mail a report.
Use the Edit menu to cut, copy, paste, or delete objects, such as columns or images. You can also undo an action in the report layout, access the object properties for an object, clear all the objects in the layout, select all the objects in the layout, and access report Preferences.
Use the View menu to display toolbars, rulers, grids, or aliases. (An alias is an alternate name for a field or expression.) You can also define the size of the grid that appears in the Layout window, and define whether the Layout window rulers display in inches, centimeters, or points.
Use the Insert menu to place database information and objects such as lines and images into the Layout window. You can also insert calculated fields variables, charts, and cross-tabs into the report layout.
Use the Layout menu to refine your report layout. You can align report fields, text, and objects, space them evenly across or down the report, or make them the same size. You can also configure or rebuild the default layout.
Use the Report menu to format report properties and edit your query. You can also generate a table of contents, define group breaks, define page breaks, define template options, add a Lookup Table or an Include File, and display and HTML report in an external browser window.
Use the Help menu to access help about SQR Production Reporting Studio and the Production Reporting language.
