Use the Align options to align objects in your report layout. The following options are available:
Left—Aligns objects with the left edge of the last object selected.
Horizontal Center—Aligns objects with the horizontal center of the last object selected.
Right—Aligns objects with the right edge of the last object selected.
Top—Aligns objects with the top edge of the last object selected.
Vertical Center—Aligns objects with the vertical center of the last object selected.
Bottom—Aligns objects with the bottom edge of the last object selected.
Section Top—Aligns objects with the top of the current section in the report layout.
To align objects in your report layout:
Select the objects to align.
To select multiple objects, press the [Shift] key and click the desired objects. Select the object to align to last. For example, to align object 1 with object 2, select object 1 and then select object 2.
To select all the objects in one section, click in the section and choose Edit, then Select All.
Do one of the following:
Choose Layout, then Align and then select the desired option.
Click the Align button on the Layout toolbar and select the desired option.
Use the keys on your keyboard.
The keystrokes that correspond to each menu option appear to the right of the menu option. For example, to align objects to the left, you can select the objects and press [Ctrl+Left Arrow] (hold down the [Ctrl] key and press the [Left Arrow] key).
