Stretch/Shrink

Use the Stretch/Shrink options to stretch or shrink the edge of an object to align with the edge of another object in your report layout.

For example, assume that you have two objects in the layout. Assume further that you want to place a line beneath these objects that extends to the edges of both objects. If you inserted a line that was initially smaller than the two objects, you could use Layout, then Stretch, and then Left and Layout, then Stretch, and then Right to stretch the line so that it is the same size as the two objects.

Similarly, if you inserted a line that was initially larger than the two objects, you could use Layout, then Shrink, and then Left and Layout, then Shrink, and then Right to shrink the line so that is the same size as the two objects.

The following options are available:

*  To stretch or shrink objects in your report layout:

  2. Do one of the following:

    • Choose Layout, then Stretch/Shrink and select the desired option.
