Chart Properties: Y-Axis

Defines how the chart’s Y-axis displays. (If you are creating more than one chart, this is the Y-axis of the first chart.)

PropertyDescription

Axis Label

A line of text displayed below (or alongside) the tick-mark labels on the axis.

Note: Do not enter a backslash ( \ ) in the axis label.

Minimum Value

Minimum value on the axis. Data values less than the X-axis minimum value do not display. If left blank, Production Reporting calculates an appropriate minimum value.

Maximum Value

Maximum value on the axis. Data values greater than the Y-axis maximum value do not display. If left blank, Production Reporting calculates an appropriate maximum value.

Major Increment

Increment used to space major tick-marks on the axis. If left blank, Production Reporting determines an appropriate increment.

Minor Increment

Increment used to space minor tick-mark on the axis. This must be set for Y-axis minor tick-marks to display.

Tick Marks

Major displays tick marks along the axis between the X-axis minimum value and the X-axis maximum value. SQR Production Reporting Studio displays the tick marks according to the X-axis scale setting spaced by the X-axis major increment.

Minor displays tick marks along the axis between the X-axis minimum value and the X-axis maximum value. SQR Production Reporting Studio displays the tick marks according to the X-axis scale setting spaced by the X-axis minor increment.

If you display tick marks, define the placement of the tick marks. Inside displays tick marks inside the area defined by the two axes. Outside displays tick marks within the chart border, but outside the region represented by the two axes. Both displays tick marks in both places.

Scale

Linear uses a linear scale for the X-axis.

Log uses a logarithmic scale for the axis.

Show Axis Grid

Draws a grid line for each major tick-mark on the axis.

  • Size—Width of the grid lines in pixels. Default is one pixel.

  • Color—Grid color.

  • Style—Grid style. Select None, Solid, LongDash, ShortDash,, LongShort, or DashDot.
