The default layout is the arrangement of data columns and headings that initially appears when you format your report in the Layout window. You can configure the default layout when you build your query before you display the report in the Layout window, or you can change the default layout after it appears in the Layout window.
You can configure default layout information in the following areas:
Query Fields (see Configuring Query Fields for the Default Layout)
General Layout Information (see Configuring Layout Information)
Breaks (see Configuring Breaks)
Click Save as Default to use the default layout settings in each new report you create. If you change the default layout settings and don't save them, SQR Production Reporting Studio only applies the settings to your current report.
When you create a report using a layout template, SQR Production Reporting Studio disables the Configure option in the Query Builder and uses the layout settings defined in the template to configure the default layout. For Export reporst, the default layout options are not available.
