Remote Login

SQR Production Reporting Studio allows you to execute a report on a remote Production Reporting server. When you use a remote Production Reporting server, you can preview your reports in a remote test environment, and you may be able to take advantage of more powerful platforms.

Note:

The database's location does not affect the Remote Login. Remote Login is only concerned with the Production Reporting engine's location.

To preview a report at a remote location, set your local database to remote and select the desired Production Reporting database on the Data Connection - Local Database page of the Create Database Connection wizard. Then, choose Report, then Remote Preview from the menu at the top of the Layout window. The Remote Login dialog box appears. You can also access the Remote Login dialog box by choosing File, then Remote Login at report startup.
