Template Options

Use the Template Options dialog box to add or change the layout template in an existing report or to break the link to a template.

Option	Description
Template File	Template used in the report layout and the path to the template. To select a new template, click Browse and select a template from the Template Browser.
Update Now	Updates the report layout based on the template selected under Template File. When you change the template used for a report layout, you may lose the changes you made to the layout objects that came from the original template.
Break Link	Breaks the link to a template. Breaking the link to a layout template only removes the link. It does not change the report in any other way. All layout objects that came from the template will remain in the report. SQR Production Reporting Studio knows which objects came from a template and which objects you added to the report. As a result, SQR Production Reporting Studio can update the report if the template changes. When you break the link to a template, layout objects that came from the template lose their "template identity," and SQR Production Reporting Studio treats the objects like any other objects you add. This is important to remember if you ever decide to restore the link to the template, since updating the template may not have the same effect as before you broke the link.
