Smart lists are linked to the dimensional members used to manage positions, jobs, and employees, and to build compensation budgets using data forms. For example, the Employee_Type Smart List includes Temporary, Permanent, and Contractor values. Smart Lists are also used by predefined business rules that perform calculations. Smart Lists are also used to capture the allocation information for a given period of time.
