When you run createiopinstance, some messages on the script and locale are displayed. These messages do not interfere with the execution of the script. You can ignore them.

• 11803074

Microsoft Excel files with the .xlsx and .xlsm extensions are not supported in this release for data sources and report templates.

Workaround: Save Excel files with the .xls extension.

 

If the Excel client crashes during operation, the last session state layout is not saved. The initial layout goes back to the default layout.

Tips and Troubleshooting

Excel does not launch.

Launch Excel by choosing one of the following:

·         In Excel, select Tools, then Macros, and then Security. Go to Trusted Publishers and select Trust all installed add-ins and templates.

·         Excel 2003 only: In Excel, select Help, then About Microsoft Excel and select Disabled Items for Ambassador. If it is already selected, select it again.

·         In Add/Remove Programs, uninstall Oracle SOP Excel Control.

Hint: You may have to close all Microsoft Office applications including Outlook and Internet Explorer.

·         In Internet Explorer, select Tools, then Internet Options, and then delete cookies and files.

Copying and Pasting Code Snippets from PDFs

When you cut and paste code snippets from a PDF file, some characters can be lost during the paste operation, making the code snippet invalid.
Workaround: Cut and paste from the HTML version of the document.
