12 Setting Up and Using Enterprise Manager

Set Up Oracle Software Library

Set Up Self Update

Enables you to expand the capabilities of Enterprise Manager by updating Enterprise Manager components whenever new or updated features become available.

Step 3

Download Oracle Management Agent Software

Enables you to obtain Management Agent software for various platforms (operating systems) supported by Enterprise Manager Cloud Control by downloading the software to the Software Library using Self Update console in both online and offline modes.

Step 4

Set Up Named Credentials

Enables you to use the named credential for performing operations like running jobs, patching, and other system management tasks.

Step 5

Set Up BI Publisher

Enables you to author, manage and deliver all your highly formatted documents by using Oracle Business Intelligence (BI) Publisher which is Oracle's primary reporting tool.

Step 6

Set Up Notifications

Enables you to notify Enterprise Manager administrators when specific incidents, events, or problems arise.

Step 7

Discover Targets

Enables you to identify unmanaged hosts and targets in your environment.

Add Targets
