You use the Compare component to compare the attribute values for selected Results Table records. You can highlight differences among the records, and display record details for each record.
The selected records are displayed on the Compare component.
Depending on how the component was configured, the differences among the records may be highlighted.
To restore the default display for the component, from the Actions menu, select Reset view.
To select a record to be the baseline record, in the record heading, click the lock icon.
The selected record becomes the first column in the list, and cannot be moved. The lock icon is changed to indicate that the record is a baseline record. If another record was previously selected as the baseline, it becomes a non-baseline record.
To remove the designation as a baseline record, click the lock icon again. The record column remains at the left of the table, but can now be moved.
You can drag non-baseline records left or right in the display, to allow you to do a side-by-side comparison of selected records.
You also can drag and drop attribute groups to move them up or down in the display. You can reorder attributes within a group, but cannot drag attributes to other groups.
To search for a specific attribute, begin typing the attribute name in the Filter attributes field. As you type, the matching attributes are displayed.
To expand or collapse an attribute group, click the group name.
To expand all of the attribute groups, from the Actions menu, select Expand all groups.
To collapse all of the attribute groups, from the Actions menu, select Collapse all groups.
To highlight the differences in attribute values, from the Actions menu, select Highlight Differences.
If you haven't selected a baseline record, then the component highlights attribute values that are not the same across all of the selected records.
If there is a baseline record, then in the non-baseline records, the component highlights attribute values that are different from the baseline record:
When the highlighting is displayed, to remove the highlighting, from the Actions menu, select Hide Highlights.
The Compare component may allow you to display the details for a record. If the record details option is enabled, then a record details icon is displayed in the column headings. To display the record details for a specific record, click its record details icon.
The Record Details component is populated with the details for that record.
