Depending on your data source, you can open and manage tasks from the Smart View panel in Excel or Outlook or integrate task lists from the data source into Outlook and use Outlook functionality to manage your tasks.
In Planning and Financial Management, you can manage tasks from the Smart View panel in both Excel and Outlook, and integrate task lists into Outlook as described in Working with Tasks from the Smart View Panel.
In Financial Close Management, you can integrate task lists into Outlook as described in Integrating Task Lists with Microsoft Outlook.
