Global, inheriting properties must be assigned to a hierarchy that will control from where property values are inherited.
To assign controlled properties to a hierarchy:
Optional: View a subset of hierarchies by selecting an option from the Group By drop-down list.
Select a hierarchy that will control a global inheriting property.
Right-click the hierarchy, select Assign Control, and then Properties.
A list of global inheriting properties are displayed.
Select properties and move them from Available to Selected, and then click OK.

Use the Category list to select a property category to ease navigation.
