Configuring Custom Dashboards

You can configure shell dashboards that Primavera Unifier users can use to view data across a shell hierarchy, or use the configurable shell dashboard that is part of Primavera Unifier. Custom shell dashboards are dashboards that are created externally (outside of Primavera Unifier), but can be configured for use within Primavera Unifier.

In Primavera Unifier, there are three types of dashboards available. These are:

My Dashboard (end user-defined dashboard): Dashboards that can be configured by end users in User Mode using the Edit Dashboard window, available by default in Primavera Unifier. This dashboard is recommended if the user wants a personalized dashboard.
Custom dashboards: Dashboards that are created externally (outside of Primavera Unifier), but can be configured for use within Primavera Unifier (described in this section).
Shell instance dashboards: Dashboards are maintained at the shell level and are available to any user to view (but not edit) provided the user has requisite permissions. See "Configuring shell instance dashboards".

You can use custom company dashboards in conjunction with shell instance dashboards. See "Configuring shell instance dashboards".

Step 1: Create data views. Optional. You can create data views to use as data sources for data cubes.

Step 2: Define data cubes. See "Defining Data Cubes to Work with the Shell Dashboard".

Step 3: Set permissions for Custom Dashboards. See "Setting Custom Dashboard Permissions"

Step 4: Configure custom the dashboard. See "Setting up a Custom Shell Dashboard" for details.

Step 5: Create the custom dashboard. See "Creating a Custom Dashboard Externally to Primavera Unifier" for details.
