Creating a Basic Data Definition

Use basic definitions for designing forms, managers, shells, and other Primavera Unifier components.

To create a basic data definition

1 In Administration Mode, navigate to Companies > [Company] > Data Structure > Data Definitions > Basic.
2 Click the New button. The Create New Data Definition window opens.
3 In the Name field, enter a unique name for the data definition.
The name can include alphanumeric characters, spaces, dashes, and underlines.
The name will be case-sensitive in Primavera Unifier.
The name cannot begin the name with a prefix reserved by Oracle Primavera: SYS, UUU, or Picker.
4 In the Data Type field, specify whether the definition will be a string or integer data type.

When you specify the data type, Primavera uDesigner displays an additional field, Input Type.

5 In the Input Type field, select the method the user will use to enter the data.
6 Click OK.
