The figure shows how the AIA service-oriented architecture passes requests from one application, such as Siebel CRM, to another application, such as OSM or BRM.

The first application drops a message into a queue. A requester service receives the message, translates it into an EBM, and passes it on to a second requester. The second requester translates the EBM into an ABM, and passes the message on to the second application's queue.
