You can create a private connection from a connection that is not listed in Shared Connections if you know the URL.
To add a connection using a URL:
From the Smart View panel, click the arrow next to , and then select Private Connections.
In the text box, enter the URL or the local storage directory for the data source to which you want to connect. The URL syntax for the various data sources is as follows. Contact your system administrator for the URL to use:

Hyperion Enterprise: http://servername:port/heofficeprovider/heofficeprovider.aspx
Planning: http(s)://servername:port/HyperionPlanning/SmartView

Deleting the List of Private Connections
To delete the entire list of private connections, click the arrow next to , and then select Clear Manually Entered URL Entries.
