Use this page to configure content settings. You can override these defaults when you add each of the documents or by editing the document properties.
Language: This setting controls the language assigned to a document.
Template: Sets the default template language for module, section, and topic documents.
Screen Resolution: Sets the default screen resolution for module, section, and topic documents.
Base URL for Previewing Relative Hyperlinks: This setting is used by the Developer to find content links using Relative URL's. Set this URL to the deployment location's absolute URL. The Developer appends any relative URL's to the base URL to find the relative linked content for preview.
See It! Frame Delay: The frame delay controls the amount of time that elapses between the appearance of the frame and the start of the action. The delay gives the user time to read the text in the bubble before the action starts. You can either select from the Frame Delay list or manually enter a delay time. If you choose the 0 or skip option, action frames immediately start playback of the action and non-action frames are skipped.
The Infinite option means a user must advance the frame manually. The bubble displays the text "Press Enter to continue." The user must press ENTER to advance to the next step.
If sound is present and Infinite is selected, the user must press Enter to continue. If sound is present and any other frame delay is selected, the frame advances automatically after the sound playback is complete.
Know It? Required Percentage: Know It? mode is a play mode that enables users to test knowledge gained from training. When a topic is played in this mode, the user is expected to complete a task with little or no assistance in a simulated environment. Upon completion of the task, the user receives a score. This option is the percentage of all the steps within the task the user must answer correctly to pass. You can also change this percentage for an individual topic using the Properties toolpane.
Know It? Remediation: When users fail to complete a step in Know It? mode, they can see up to four levels of remediation. By default, all four remediation options are active for any new topic that you create. You can configure the default settings for the first three levels, but the fourth level is always required. See Remediation Levels in Topic Properties for a definition of each level. These settings do not affect converted content. For example, if you make remediation level configuration changes first and then convert content, the converted content will have all four levels active (default settings).
