Use these options to set the defaults to be used for new Assessments.

Passing score percentage: Set the minimum percentage of questions a user must get correct to demonstrate understanding of the subject matter to pass the assessment.

Question order: If the option is set to As authored, questions are presented in the order in which they were created in Developer. If set to Random order, the questions are presented in a different order each time the assessment is taken.

Answer order: If the option is set to As authored, answers are presented in the order in which they were created in Developer. If set to Random order, answers to multiple choice or matching questions are provided in random order. The answers appear in a different order each time the question is presented. For multiple choice (single answer) questions that include All of the above and/or None of the above, these answers remain in their positions at the bottom of the list of choices.

Remediation: Determines the type of feedback users receive on their responses to questions.

The following describes the five types of feedback. Remediation text appears only if it was created for the question in Developer.

Show associated content: The Associated Content link displays if this property is set, the content is selected on the Associated Content property for the question, and the Show Associated Content property is set to Yes on the assessment. Associated content can be used to create personalized content (available only in the Professional edition).

Display results summary after completing the assessment: When the Show summary at the end of assessment option is enabled, users will see an Assessment Summary page after they complete an assessment. This page displays the assessment results, which include the number of questions in the assessment and of those, the number correct, along with the user's score as a percentage. This page also displays a breakdown of each major section and the user's score for each. It also displays a list of the questions answered correctly and incorrectly.

If the Do not show summary at end of assessment option is enabled, the Assessment Summary page does not appear upon completion of an assessment, nor can a user access it later.

When the assessment is used to create personalized content from the Knowledge Center, this setting is ignored and the summary is always displayed. The Summary option is automatically selected and cannot be deselected. The Summary option is automatically enabled as the Assessment Summary page enables a user to configure his/her personalized content. When the personalized content is enabled, checkboxes appear to the left of each section listed, allowing a user to choose which sections appear in the personalized content.
