The figure depicts a 3 tier systems architecture. The bottom tier represents the Telecom Networks from where Diameter Ro requests originate. The middle tier represents the Online Mediation Controller with relevant IMs and the Orchestration Engine. The top tier represents both the BRM and ECE online charging systems that Online Mediation Controller sends request to for Ro accounting. Two-way arrows connect each tier representing the flow of traffic between the tiers.
